近年メインで使うことが多い、ラバージグとジグヘッドミノー。
ジグ撃ちはストロングで、ミドストはフィネスと言うイメージがありますかね？
ただ、前戦でジグをメインにしたのは単純に”ジグの方が釣れたから”。
たぶん理由はシンプルで・・・

Recently, I have been mainly using rubber jigs and jighead minnows.
You might think flipping jigs is strong, and shooting jigheads is finesse.
But the reason I used rubber jigs at the previous event was simply because “they ate better.”

今回は釣ったバスの8割以上が、写真のようにザリガニを食べまくっていたからかと。
ミドストでちっとも喰わないのに、岩バンクにジグを投げたらホントあっさり釣れました。
単純な話ですが、やはり”食べたい餌に寄せる”のがバスフィッシングの基本ですね。

This time most of the bass were eating crawfish, and I think that’s why rubber jigs worked better.
Though they were hard to bite jighead minnows, they easily ate rubber jigs during practice.
“Match the bait” should always be the basis of bass fishing.

ライブシューティングでミドストが最強・・・などと言う事は決して無く、結局はエサとか状況次第。
例えばこの前のクラシックでも、2位のトレイ・マッキニーはジグがメインでしたよね。
ストロングだとかフィネスだとかって、たぶんバスは全然気にしていないのではないでしょうか(笑)。

Some might think shooting jig head minnows is always the best method these days, but I think it depends on the bait.
As proof of that, Trey, who finished the Classic in 2nd place, mainly used jigs.
Bass don’t care about “strong” or “finesse”!
