アメリカの家に標準装備されている「暖炉」。
アパートにまで設置されていて驚きましたが…何と早速大活躍してくれました！
移住早々のクリスマス、40年に1度クラスの大寒波で日中の気温は-12℃！しかも停電！！
おまけに下の子は40℃の発熱中と、なかなかに過酷な状況でした…。
窓ガラスの内側が凍り始めたので、amazonの梱包用ダンボールを燃やして何とかしのいだ次第です。
そんなこんなで、アメリカ生活は今日もサバイバルです(爆)。

Fireplaces are standard equipment in American homes.
I was surprised to find one even in my apartment, but it worked great right away!
On Christmas Day, the temperature during the day was 10°F due to the cold weather, and the power was out!
On top of that, our youngest child had a fever of 100°F, so it was quite a harsh situation….
The inside of the window panes started to freeze, so we managed to get by by burning cardboard boxes for packing from amazon.
So, our life in the U.S. is still a survival !!
