アメリカBASSトーナメント参戦を目指すアマチュアバサー、KenD(けんでぃ)の奮戦記をお送りします。。。

週末はテネシー水族館へ。
家から15分ほどなのですが、琵琶湖博物館の2倍くらいある巨大施設でした！
新鮮だったのは、「外来種」じゃないブラックバス。
ミシシッピアカミミガメ等も個体数の減少が危惧されているそうで、日本のミドリガメを連れ帰ってあげたいなと思いました…。
（逆に日本の鯉とかが侵略的外来種になってました）
アメリカのベイトフィッシュの勉強も出来、少しだけ基礎知識が増えた気がします(^^)

We went to the Tennessee Aquarium over the weekend.
It was only 15 minutes from my house, but it was a huge facility, about twice as big as the Lake Biwa Museum!
What was new to me was the bass, which is not an “alien” species.
Red eared sliders and other populations are also in danger of declining, and I wanted to bring back the Japanese ones which is treated as alien species in Japan….
(On the contrary, Japanese carp is treated as invasive alien species there)
I was also able to study American baitfish, and I feel I have a little more basic knowledge (^^)
