ハートウェル戦を制したポール・マークスが、初優勝とともに衝撃を与えたのが・・・
「ライブスコープ(LVS34)をLOWRANCE魚探に映している（！）」
というまさかのメーカーミックスの映像でした。
一体どういうことなのか、情報を集めてみました。

Paul Marks, who won the Elite at Hartwell, displayed his LiveScope (LVS34) feed on a LOWRANCE fish finder.This unexpected mix of manufacturers on screen left many wondering how it was possible.I gathered some information to find out.

するとこれは「HDMI接続でGARMINの映像をLOWRANCEにミラーリングしている」のだと分かりました。
つまりノートPCの画面をテレビに繋ぐのと同じで、単に映像を飛ばしているだけ。
なのでNBTのスクリーンのように、操作は出来ないということのようです。
(NBTはUSBも繋いでいる)

It turns out this setup involved mirroring the GARMIN display onto the LOWRANCE unit via an HDMI connection. It’s essentially the same principle as connecting a laptop screen to a TV – it’s simply transmitting video. Therefore, unlike an NBT screen, you cannot control the Garmin unit from the Lowrance display in this configuration. (NBT screens connect via USB for control functionality)

やり方自体は簡単らしく、HDMI出力のある魚探とHDMI入力のある魚探を普通のHDMIケーブルでつなぐだけ。
下の動画ではGPSMAP1643とHDS PRO16ですが、HDMI端子があれば理論上どのモデルでも出来るはず。
つまりHDMIのあるAPEXならハミンにも可能性があり、魚探システム構築の選択肢が広がりそうです。
（ただしいずれも自分で試してみたわけではありませんので、実施は自己責任でお願いします）

The method itself seems straightforward: just connect a fish finder with an HDMI output to one with an HDMI input using a standard HDMI cable. The video below shows a GPSMAP 1643 connected to an HDS PRO 16, but theoretically, any model with an HDMI port should be capable of this. This suggests that even Humminbird APEX models with HDMI could potentially work, broadening the options for building your fishing electronics system.
