アメリカBASSトーナメント参戦を目指すアマチュアバサー、KenD(けんでぃ)の奮戦記をお送りします。。。

今回は先日のハリスチェーン戦に掛かった実際の参戦経費をもとに、USトーナメントの金銭的リアルをご紹介いたします。

これは全9戦のOPENs EQの、1戦あたりの参戦経費として平均的な額だと思います。
ですから1戦あたり約50万として、年間で約450万円のランニングコストが掛かったことになります。

ただし注意点としては、これはあくまでもボートや車代（タイヤやオイル等の消耗品含む）を除いた額だという点です。
（中古のタンドラとトライトンで、たぶん1600万円くらい）
また、宿代は友人とAirbnbのレンタルハウスをシェアし、食費は自炊でギリギリまで切り詰めての額ですので、普通の人はもっとかかっていると思います。

日本から遠征で参戦する場合は、飛行機代として1戦あたり＋10万円くらいが加わるのではないでしょうか。

私は浜松の自宅を売ったお金でこの参戦経費を工面しましたが、率直に言って狂気の沙汰だなと思います。

ただ、世の中お金が全てか・・・と嘆くのはちょっと違うと思っていて、最後に同じツアーを戦ったあるアングラーの言葉をご紹介したいと思います。

「参戦経費？大丈夫、勝てば問題ないよ！」

(※優勝すると賞金750万円、40位で50万円くらい)

[The Price of Dreams]

This time, I would like to share the financial informations of Bassmaster OPEN based on the expenses for the recent Harris Chain Tournament.

Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee – Leesburg, Florida

Duration: 10 days

Total: $3,188.2

I think this is an average amount of expenses for each of the 9 OPENs EQ tournaments.
Therefore, at about $3200 per round, the running cost would be about $30,000 per year.

Note, however, that this excludes the cost of the boat and car (including tires, oil, and other consumables).
Also, I shared an Airbnb rental house with my friend for lodging, and I cooked my own meals, so I think the average angler would have spent more.

I sold my house in Japan to pay for this, but frankly speaking, I think it is crazy.

However, I don’t think it is right to lament that money is everything in this world.
And I would like to share with you the words of an angler who also participated in this tour.

“The cost of the tournaments? Don’t worry, it won’t matter as long as we win!”

(*Winning a tournament brings in about $50,000, and 40th place brings in about $3,500 .)
