’93Bassmasterクラシックウィナー、’94AOY、そしてFLWのフォレスト・ウッド・カップを制覇した、偉大なるレジェンドが50年のトーナメント人生に幕を閉じます。
フラッシャー魚探を駆使したオフショアの名手であり、名作・ラパラDTシリーズの生みの親としても知られる世界屈指のクランカーですね。
2021年に患ったCOVID-19後の体力低下が激しく、これ以上過酷なツアーを続けることは困難と判断したそうです。
KVD引退を皮切りに、ラリー・ニクソン、そしてデイヴィッド・フリッツと、著名なレジェンド選手達が引き際を決意する激動の1年となりましたね。。。

[David Fritts announces retirement]
The great legend angler,’93 Bassmaster Classic winner, ’94 AOY, and FLW’s Forrest Wood Cup winner,David Fritts is ending his 50-year tournament career.
He was one of the world’s greatest crankers, known as a master of offshore fishing with flasher fish finders and creator of the famous Rapala DT series.
He has decided that it would be difficult for him to continue fishing pro tours any longer due to the severe declining health after COVID-19, which he suffered in 2021.
It has been a impressive year with many legends deciding to retire from the tournament, starting with KVD, followed by Larry Nixon, and then David Fritts.
