船外機のピボット等には、定期的なグリスアップが欠かせませんが・・・。
お勧めはマーキュリーの2-4-Cマリングリスで、実は日本でスズキエンジンにもこれを使っていました。
ショップで聞いた話ではありますが、以下の点でかなり優秀なのだそうです。

Regularly greasing your outboard’s pivot points is a must!
I highly recommend Mercury 2-4-C. In fact, I used it for my Suzuki engines back in Japan.
According to local shops, it’s top-tier for these key reasons:

まず耐水性が高く、水と混ざって白く乳化しにくい。
それから防錆性能が高く、さらに極圧性も良いので摩擦係数が極めて低いのだそうです。
ウェット環境で荷重が掛かりながら動くパーツには、まさに最適な特性ですね！
