アメリカBASSトーナメント参戦を目指すアマチュアバサー、KenD(けんでぃ)の奮戦記をお送りします。。。

決勝はマーシャルとして、カナダの新鋭/ジェイミー・ブルース艇に同船してきました。
連日24lb前後のハイスコアを安定して持ち込み、決勝は暫定3位からの逆転を狙ったジェイミー。
何とその場所は、少なくとも四箇所は私のポイントとかぶっていたのですが…ライブシューティングの精度が全く違う！
圧巻のアプローチでビッグワンを仕留め、カナダ勢のレベルの高さを思い知らされました。
しかし本当に感心したのはその後で、実はこの日ジェイミーは大苦戦。
メインポイントのカレントが弱まり、昼を回ってもナイスサイズを揃えることが出来なかったのです。
ウェイインに戻る道すがら、「あそこが気になる…」とボトム丸見えのシャローをランガン。
巻きの釣りでビッグフィッシュが連発し、土壇場で21lb 超のビッグウェイトを達成してみせたのです！
惜しくも逆転はなりませんでしたが、年間ポイントも8位に浮上。
来季のエリート昇格が期待される彼の、非凡なセンスを目の当たりにすることが出来ました。

On Day3, I was the marshal on the boat of Jamie Bruce, a Canadian angler.
Jamie had been consistently bringing in high scores of around 24lb each day and started day3 from 3rd place.
What a surprise, at least four of his spots were on the same points as mine…but the accuracy of his approach was completely different!
He got good ones with an impressive approach and was reminded of the high level of the Canadian anglers.
But what really impressed me was what happened after that.
He mainly fish deep,but even after noon, he was still unable to get 5 big fish.
On his way back to the weigh-in sight, he switched to the shallow and added 2 big ones!
I felt his outstanding fishing sense for that.
Although he was unable to win,he got over 21lb and ended up at 3rd place.
In addition,he has moved up to 8th place in the AOY points standings.
I believe he will fish elite next year.
