ここ数年、18バンタムMGL＋AVAIL浅溝スプール＋マグネットブレーキ仕様をメインで使い続けていますが・・・。
アメリカの過酷なツアーでも、何ら問題が出ない耐久性の高さには驚きました。

この手のシャロースプールはベイトフィネス用というイメージがあると思うのですが、この18BTM36RIは「必要最小限の糸巻量のノーマルスプール」と言えるのかもしれません。
しかしそのキャスティング・レスポンスの高さは歴然で、もうノーマルには戻れません(笑)。
未だこれを超えるリールには出会えておらず、10年使い続けようと思っています。。。
（でもベアリングはそろそろ打ち替えたいw）

[My favorite bait casting reel]
I have been mainly using “18 Bantam MGL(Shimano) + AVAIL shallow groove spool + magnet brake” for the past few years.
I was surprised at its high durability, which did not cause any problems even during the tough tours in the U.S.
I think this kind of shallow spool has an image of being for bait finesse fishing, but this 18BTM36RI could be called “a normal spool with the minimum necessary amount of line.
However, the high casting response of this reel is obvious that I cannot go back to the normal spool anymore.
I have yet to find a reel that surpasses this one, and I plan to keep using it for 10 years!
