’23バスマスターOPEN第4戦レイク・ウィーラーDay2、初日とは狙うエリアをがらりと変えて臨んだところ・・・なんと朝から猛烈なバイトラッシュ！
キックノッカー(テッケル)を3投して3尾ヒットなど、昨日の苦戦が嘘のような爆発を経験しました！！
しかし何と、デカいのを3本バラすという大失態orz
原因は「トレブルフックのルアーをハンドランディングする」技術の無さ。
4-5lb(2kg)クラスを次々とボート際で失うシーンはまさに悪夢でした・・・。
獲れていれば15～16lbはあったと思うのですが、結果は11lb前後で最終162位。
今回の試合も上手くいきませんでしたが、なぜ他の選手が高スコアを出せるのか？その片鱗だけは掴むことが出来ました。
多くの重要な気付きが得られましたので、またDeeeP STREAMでお話していきたいと思います。

On Day2 of Bassmaster OPEN #4, Lake Wheeler, I changed my area from the first day… and the bites started coming in fast and furious in the morning!
I had an explosion of bites, including 3 hits in 3 casts by the Kicknocker (Teckel), making it seem like yesterday’s struggles were a lie!
However, I made the big mistake of losing three big ones.
The reason was the lack of the “hand landing with treble hook lures” technique.
(Because we use landing net in Japan)
It was a nightmare to lose 4-5lb fish one after another at the edge of the boat….
If I had been able to catch them, I would have had 15-16lb, but the result was around 11lb, and I was in 162nd place in the final.
This tournament did not go well either, but I was able to get a hint of why other anglers were able to score so high.
