ノースフォークの同じ番手のブランクを、素材別に比較してみました。

*1枚目:MB663-1(HM vs IM)
左の高弾性ブランクHMの方が、右の中弾性ブランクIMよりも若干(1割強)薄く、またほんの少しバット径が太くなっています。
重さも多少軽いですが、これについては念入りに持ち比べてようやく分かるくらい。

2枚目:MB736-1(DELTA vs HM)
グラスコンポジットのデルタ(左)と、高弾性のHM(右)だとさすがにその差は歴然です。
そもそも径が違いますし、DELTAの方が4～5割も厚くなっています。
重さも誰が持っても分かるレベルで違いますが、コンポジットの割にはシャッキリしていて意外でした。

さて、これらがガイドやグリップを組んでみてどのように印象が変わるか？
このオフシーズン中に色々試してみたいと思います。

*1: MB663-1 (HM vs. IM)
The high modulus blank HM on the left is slightly thinner (over 10%) than the medium modulus blank IM on the right, and the butt diameter is slightly thicker.
The weight is also a little lighter, but I can only tell this by carefully comparing the two.

*2: MB736-1 (DELTA vs. HM)
The difference between the glass composite DELTA (left) and the HM (right) is obvious.
The diameter is different, and DELTA is 40-50% thicker.
The weight is also different at a level that anyone can tell, but I was surprised at its sharp feeling for a composite material.

Now, how will the impression be different when I put guides and grips together?
I would like to try various things during this off-season.
