ベイトがバスを変える
北のスモールのメインベイト、「ゴビー」 ゴリ？ハゼ？の巨大版みたいなやつで、至るところでこの魚のバイトがあります。 もともとは外来種らしいのですが、これが五大湖地方で大繁殖してから、一気にスモールマウスバスのサイズが上がったのだとか…。 ベイトがバスを変える、これもその典型的な一例の1つですね。 The main bait for smallies in the north, is this “goby”. And the bites of gobies are everywhere! It is said that this fish is exotic species, but since it has been proliferating in the Great Lakes region, the size of smallmouth bass has increased dramatically…. Bait changes bass, and this is one of the typical examples.

スモールマウスの聖地・セントローレンスリバー。 ビッグスモールが楽しいぐらい釣れる、まさしく地上の天国です。。。 北部の夏は涼しい（野尻湖的な感じ）し、地球に残された最後の楽園なんじゃないかと本気で思います(笑)。 夏の北部・ニューヨークは本当に最高！ 皆様ぜひ、一生に一度は体験してみて欲しいと思います(^^♪ The St. Lawrence River is a sanctuary for smallmouth. It is truly a heaven on earth where you can catch big smallmouth bass! It is cool summer in the north, and I really think it is the last paradise left on earth lol. Summer in upstate New York is truly the best! I hope you will experience it at least once in your lifetime.

せっせと内職中。 ガード付きが売ってればなぁ・・・。 ちなみにブラシガードよりも、細くて抵抗の少ないワイヤーガードが好みです。 I’m adding wire guards to jig heads!
ニシネ・フィネスフットボールジグの驚きの小ささ
一般的なジグと比較するとよく分かる、”ニシネ・フィネスフットボールジグ”の針の小ささ。 しかもここで重要なのは、「小さくても太軸」である点だと思います。 まさに大型のスモールマウスバスにフォーカスした、無二のフットボールだと思います。。。 Compared to a ordinally jig,the size of the “Nishine Finesse Football Jig” is clearly small. What is also important here is that the hook is small but has a thick shaft. I think this is a very unique football that focuses on large smallmouth bass.
対スモールマウス用フットボールジグ
セントローレンス戦に向け、対スモールマウス用ルアーを準備中。 そういえば野尻湖でフットボールが効いたっけな・・・という事で、用意したのは”ニシネ・フィネスフットボールジグ”。 スモールマウス用の、重くて小さいフットボールジグというのはなかなか無いと思います。 さて、活躍してくれるでしょうか！？ I am preparing baits for the Bassmaster OPEN #5 St. Lawrence River. I remember that football jigs worked well in Japan, so I prepared the “Nishine Finesse Football Jig”. I think it is hard to find a heavy and small football jig for smallmouth bass. キャンプグラウンドのゲストたち
キャンプグラウンドを徘徊する鹿たち。 奈良に匹敵する近さです。。。 他にもアライグマがテントを覗き込んできたり、アルマジロがもぞもぞしていたりと珍客万来www （惜しくも夜なので撮影は出来ませんでしたが） アメリカのキャンプ場、色んな生物に出会えて楽し過ぎです(笑)。
