(タンカーのバラスト水に混じって海から入ってきた)
バスはベイトに支配されている、というやつですね。

An explosion of gobies has made them much bigger since around the 2000s.
(They were accidentally introduced from the ocean via ship ballast water.)
Bass are controlled by their bait!
