最近タブレットで使えるライブソナーが発売され、魚探として使えるのでは？と話題ですが・・・
タブレットを魚探代わりにする場合、”無理ではないがハードルが高い”と思います。
9年前に架台作りを通してトライ＆エラーを繰り返した結果、判明した課題点をまとめます。

The LiveSonar, which can be used with tablets, has recently been released.
However, in my opinion, using a tablet as a fishfinder has some difficulties.
I’ll share my experience from when I tried to use one 9 years ago.

1.バッテリー持続時間
→1日中バッテリーが持たない
対策：外部バッテリーで給電しながら使用
※ただし防水対策が必要

Battery life
The battery does not last all day.
Solution: Use an external battery for power.
(Waterproofing is required.)

2.熱暴走
→夏場の高温で動作停止。給電中は特に厳しい
対策：直射日光を遮るカバー・背面に常温保冷剤を貼付
※しかし完璧な対策は困難

Thermal throttling
It stops working in summer heat, especially while charging.
Solution: Use a sunshade or attach a cooling pack.
(Perfect prevention is difficult.)

3.画面が見づらい
→一般的なタブレットの輝度は500nits程度で、晴天下で非常に見づらい
（魚探専用機は1000～1500nits程度）
対策：屋外専用端末を使う。
※ただし信頼性の高い屋外用端末があるか不明

Visibility
Typical tablets are around 500 nits, making them hard to see in sunlight.
(Fishfinders are 1,000–1,500 nits.)
Solution: Use an outdoor-rated device.
(Availability of reliable ones is unknown.)

4.雨対策
→雨に対する防水対策と、雨滴が当たることによりタッチパネルが誤動作
対策：防水カバー or 防水端末の使用
※雨滴で誤動作しない端末があるか不明。給電にも課題

Rain
Issues with waterproofing and touch screen malfunctions caused by raindrops.
Solution: Use a waterproof cover or device.
(Issues with charging and ghost touches remain.)

結論
不可能ではないが、本格的に専用魚探の代用とするのはかなり難しい。
明るく防水性能が高いアウトドアタブレットを探すのが鍵になる。
ただし熱暴走に強く、雨滴で誤動作しないかは買ってみないと分からない。

Conclusion
It’s not impossible, but using one as a dedicated fishfinder is difficult.
Finding a bright, waterproof outdoor tablet is key, but heat and rain performance remain uncertain until tested.
